This rotoscoped lyric video was created using industry software for the course GID 301: Motion Graphics I. 

Course Overview

GID 301: Motion Graphics I explores aesthetic, critical and technical topics in motion graphics and 2D animation. Students produce projects that demonstrate knowledge and understanding of 2D animation and motion graphics used in the field of design.

Project Overview

“Bloodline” is a rotoscoped lyric video of the song “Bloodline” by Luke Hemmings created using Photoshop and After Effects.

This project's objective was to provide a visual aid to the song with the goal of enhancing the listening experience by deepening the understanding of the lyrics and evoking emotion.

The process to create this motion graphics video included animatics, storyboarding, a project write up, rotoscoping and music editing.
